| Two days before Thanksgiving I take my car in to a local shop for a couple of coolant leaks (heater hoses). I talk to the mechanic/owner and he is a very friendly guy. He tells me some stuff about Z's and seems very informative on the car. He even owns one himself! So it stayed there for two days and plus over Thanksgiving because the shop would not be open. I call the mechanic the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend and he says it'll be one more day. I finally pick up my car costing close to $400 and am happy. My joy is short lived after driving the car for fifty feet. I turn my wheel to the the right and the whole front of my car shakes as if the tire is rubbing up against the bumper, which it didn't do before. So I continue on to a gas station around the corner and attempt to see what is going on. I look under the car and sure enough my left tire is is rubbing up against a T-clamp that is mounted on my FMIC. Seems he angled it wrong after re-intalling it. I brush it off and don't think much of it [thinking it's a two minute fix and it's not worth going back just for that]. While I'm there I pop the hood just to see how everything is, make sure it's not leaking. As soon as I open the hood the first thing I smell is coolant and I see a little puff of steam but it quickly dissapears. In my mind I try to look at the positive and say it's probably some over spill when he changed the hoses. I continue to look around and inspect. I notice a little vacuum hose that connects to the fuel dampner, is disconnected. I quickly connect it, next I check my intake hoses and one of the clamps holding the throttle body and the driver air tube is loose! Once again I say to myself "no biggie I'll tighten it at home." Next day I tighten up a couple bolts and am ready for a cruise. My car begins to overheat!? I stop at a gas station an sure enough it's spilling all over the floor. So I drive home dissapointed and call him up. He orders some Nissan hoses, I leave the car over the weekend. Another hose broke after that one located near the driver intake tube. I pick the car up the following monday, no charge. It seems good so far but I still smell some faint wiffs of coolant (no visible leaks though). Looking uner my hood I find another loose clamp on my driver side intake tube leaving it leaking air. My questions are am I paying too much attention to detail or is this forgivable for a mechanic who claims to know 300's very well?
